Lauren Leavitt, PA-C, MMS a physician assistant who completed her undergraduate education at Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She then went on to earn her Masters in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with high honors and was elected into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Lauren completed a six-month dermatology fellowship and is trained in general, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She focuses on skin cancer prevention. One of her specific passions is the management of hair loss. She performs aesthetic procedures including Botox, injectable fillers, and laser. She frequently performs skin cancer screenings at community and workplace health fairs. Patient education is an integral part of her practice. Lauren is a diplomat of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and an active member of the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She has served as a delegate in the House of Delegates of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Lauren is excited to continue to pursue her passion for writing in the field of skincare. In her free time, she also enjoys traveling, running, snow skiing, and all lake activities (with lots of sunscreen, of course!).
