Tony L. Weaver, D.O. is a fellow in plastic surgery, a board eligible general surgeon, author, & dynamic speaker. Dr. Weaver’s surgical career began at the Mayo Clinic, where he trained with experts in general & plastic surgery. He then completed his residency in general surgery at the Brookwood Baptist Health Program in Birmingham, Alabama serving as Chief Resident. He is currently a fellow in plastic & reconstructive surgery at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Weaver also completed the AOA/NYIT Training in Policy Studies Program where he studied health policy with experts from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Weaver received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society by the medical school faculty. Dr. Weaver has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles in plastic & general surgery. His professional interests include all facets of Plastic Surgery, Health Policy Development, & Surgical Safety Improvement. He is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Osteopathic Association & the American Medical Association.
